Consignments are to be treated with an approved insecticide at recommended manufacturers’ requirements within 7 days of export Approved insecticides are:
- Dichlorvos;
OR
- Diazinon;
OR
- Permethrin / Primiphos – methl (Attack);
OR
- Taifluvalinate
Option 1 (EXDOC Endorsement 2574)
1) The plants in the consignment were raised from seedlings /cuttings in soil-less rooting media in containers maintained out of contact with the soil.
Option 2 (EXDOC Endorsement 2575)
1) The roots of the plants were dipped in phensmiphos at 10ml a.i per 10 litres of water for 30 minutes.
Option 3 (EXDOC Endorsement 2576)
1) The plants have been fumigated with methyl bromide at 32 grm/m3 at 15-21 degrees celsius for 2 hours.
