The original and official translation of the import permit must be presented to the NPPO at the port of arrival in the Solomon Islands for final clearance of the consignment.
Endorsement 1898:
Only applies to fruit grown and packed in an area not less than 80 km from anarea where any harmful species of fruit fly (family Tephritidae) exists. Onlyfruit produced in Tasmania satisfies this requirement.
Endorsement 1891:
Applies to fruit subject to cold treatment.
Endorsement 3567:
Applies to fruit subject to fumigation with methyl bromide.

Cold treatmentaccording to the following schedules
Consignmentscertified under endorsement 1891 are to be cold treated by one of the followingtreatments, according to the treatment details on the Import permit:
- 0 degrees Celsius or belowfor not less than 13 days;
- 1 degrees Celsius ±0.6degrees Celsius for not less than 16 days.
Fumigation withMethyl bromide
Consignmentscertified under endorsement 3567 are to be fumigated with Methyl bromide for 2hours (at atmospheric pressure) by one of the following treatments, accordingto the treatment details on the Import permit:
- 10 – 15 degrees Celsius at48 grm/m3;
- 16 – 20 degrees Celsius at40 grm/m3;
- 21 – 25 degrees Celsius at32 grm/m3;
- 26 – 32 degrees Celsius at24 grm/m3;
- 15 – 21 degrees Celsius at32 grm/m3 (treatment rate only available if stated on license to import).
