Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material; including foreign materials debris and insect pests at any stage of development with under 0.4% tolerance applied.

Consignments must be free of animal products and by-products.

A copy of the import permit must be presented to an Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.


The import requirements will vary depending on the Schedule attached to the import permit issued. Exporters must refer to their import permit to determine the appropriate import requirements.

Where applicable, the exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the endorsement and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.



A Container Cleanliness Certificate must accompany all consignments. An Empty Container Inspection Certificate (EXDOC template GL2) may be issued if requested certifying container hygiene prior to loading.

Explanation of the endrosements
Endorsement 5088:

  • applies import permits with the attachment Schedule - Stockfeed from Australia (no Schedule No listed)
  • extraneous materials should not exceed 0.4%
  • consignments must be packaged in clean polypropylene and polyethylene bags
  • The packaging should be legible and durably written and attached to the package containing the description of products such as name of the product, composition of product labelled in percentage, name and business address of manufacturer, importer or packer and net weight of the product
  • Additional certificate to accompany consignment – Certificate of ingredients certifying freedom from animal products or by-products (manufacturer's certificate).

Endorsement 2703:

  • applies to non-pelleted bagged stockfeed
  • a product processing statement such as manufacturer's declaration must be presented to the Authorised Officer at time of inspection.

Endorsement 2728:

  • applies to pelleted bagged stockfeed
  • a product processing statement such as manufacturer's declaration must be presented to the Authorised Officer at time of inspection.

Endorsement 6289:

  • applies to pelleted bagged stockfeed
  • a product processing statement such as manufacturer's declaration must be presented to the Authorised Officer at time of inspection.

Endorsement 5934:

  • applies to non-pelleted bulk stockfeed
  • a product processing statement such as manufacturer's declaration must be presented to the Authorised Officer at time of inspection.

Endorsement 5935:

  • applies to bulk stockfeed
  • a product processing statement such as manufacturer's declaration must be presented to the Authorised Officer at time of inspection.

Note:

  • For pelleted bagged stockfeed refer to the import permit conditions to determine the endorsement number required.

Additional requirements for import permits with the attachment Schedule Stock feed from Australia (no Schedule No listed):

Consignments are to be heat treated to temperature above 85-90 degrees Celsius during or after processing.

The exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the treatment and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.


Details of treatment to be endorsed on the phytosanitary certificate in the treatment section.

Option 1 (EXDOC Endorsement 5088)
1) The consignment is free of animal products and animal by-products and processed in Australia.

Option 2 (EXDOC Endorsement 2703)
1) The product in this consignment has been processed in a facility thatproduces plant based products and has not been exposed to any source ofcontamination from animal products before processing,
2) The product in this consignment has undergone processing that has raised thecore temperature of the product to at least 85 degrees Celsius for a minimum of5 minutes,
3) A representative sample of inspected and found free of foreign matter including debris, weed seeds and insect pests at any stage of development with less than 0.4% tolerance level,

4) A representative sample of this consignment has been inspected afterprocessing in accordance with appropriate official procedures, and found freefrom contamination by any unprocessed plant material, animals and animalproducts and visually detectable regulated pests,
5) The product in this consignment has been bagged in clean new bagsimmediately after processing and then stored in a manner to prevent infestationand contamination.


Option 3 (EXDOC Endorsement 2728)
1) The product in this consignment has been processed in a facility that produces plant based products and has not been exposed to any source of contamination from animal products before processing,
2) The product in this consignment has undergone a pelleting process which has reached at least 85 degrees Celsius for a minimum of 30 seconds,
3) A representative sample was inspected and found free of viable seeds,
4) The product in this consignment has been bagged in clean new bags immediately after processing and then stored in a manner to prevent infestation and contamination.

Option 4 (EXDOC Endorsement 5934)
1) The product in this consignment has been processed in a facility that produces plant based products and has not been exposed to any source of contamination from animal products before processing,
2) The product in this consignment has undergone processing that has raised the core temperature of the product to at least 85 degrees Celsius for a minimum of 5 minutes,
3) A representative sample of inspected and found free of foreign matter including debris, weed seeds and insect pests at any stage of development with less than 0.4% tolerance level,
4) A representative sample of this consignment has been inspected after processing in accordance with appropriate official procedures, and found free from contamination by any unprocessed plant material, animals and animal products and visually detectable regulated pests,
5) The product in this consignment has been stored in substantially bird-proof buildings or bird-proof storage houses, and transported to the exit port prior to loading, in a manner to prevent contamination with any unprocessed plant material, vermin, birds, ruminant animals, faecal material and other animal products.

Option 5 (EXDOC Endorsement 5935)
1) The product in this consignment has been processed in a facility that produces plant based products and has not been exposed to any source of contamination from animal products before processing,
2) The product in this consignment has undergone a pelleting process which has reached at least 85 degrees Celsius for a minimum of 30 seconds,
3) A representative sample of inspected and found free of foreign matter including debris, weed seeds and insect pests at any stage of development with less than 0.4% tolerance level,
4) A representative sample of this consignment has been inspected after processing in accordance with appropriate official procedures, and found free from contamination by any unprocessed plant material, animals and animal products and visually detectable regulated pests,
5) The product in this consignment has been stored in substantially bird-proof buildings or bird-proof storage houses, and transported to the exit port prior to loading, in a manner to prevent contamination with any unprocessed plant material, vermin, birds, ruminant animals, faecal material and other animal products. 

Option 6 (EXDOC Endorsement 6289)
1) The product in this consignment has been processed in a facility that produces plant based products and has not been exposed to any source of contamination from animal products before processing,
2) The product in this consignment has undergone a pelleting process which has reached at least 85 degrees Celsius for a minimum of 30 seconds,
3) A representative sample of inspected and found free of foreign matter including debris, weed seeds and insect pests at any stage of development with less than 0.4% tolerance level,
4) A representative sample of this consignment has been inspected after processing in accordance with appropriate official procedures, and found free from contamination by any unprocessed plant material, animals and animal products and visually detectable regulated pests,
5) The product in this consignment has been bagged in clean new bags immediately after processing and then stored in a manner to prevent infestation and contamination.
