Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.


A copy of the import permit must be presented to an Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.
 
 
Original and official translation of the Import permit must be presented to the authorised officer approved by the department at the time of making the appointment. The original and official translation of the Import permit must be presented to the NPPO at the port of arrival in the Solomon Islands for final clearance of the consignment. 

Exporter to provide evidence attesting to the endorsement and to present to the Authoirsed Officer at time of inspection.

The product must be free from soil.
 
Consignments must be packed in new and clean packages.


Consignments transhipped via another country

Consignments transhipped to the Solomon Islands from Australia via another country must be accompanied by a Re-export Certificate issued by the department at the port of re-export. 

The Re-export Certificate must clearly state the exporter, consignee, description of the product, number of packages, distinguishing marks, place of origin, means of conveyance and point of entry into country. 

The Re-export Certificate must certify the consignment has been transported and handled in such a manner as to prevent the possibility of pest infestation and product substitution during transport.

1) Golden cyst nematode (Globodera pallida) is not known to occur in Australia,
2) The potatoes have been grown in an area free from Potato cyst nematode (Globodera rostochiensis) as verified by an official survey or sampling.
