Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.


Seed must be free from the mesocarpus - exporter to provide evidence attesting to this requirement and to present to the Department of Agriculture Department of Agriculture Authorised Officer at time of inspection.

A copy of the import permit must be presented to an Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.


Seed must be packed in sealed plastic bags with clear labels bearing the common and botanical names and total quantity.
Consignments are to be treated with Captan or Thiram fungicide at recommended manufacturers requirements.

The exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the treatment and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.


Details of treatment to be endorsed on the phytosanitary certificate in the treatment section.
