Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.


Seed must be free from the mesocarpus - exporter to provide evidence attesting to this requirement and to present to the Department of Agriculture Authorised Officerat time of inspection.

A copy of the import permit must be presented to an Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.


Consignments to be accompanied by a certificate of purity of no less than 90% from a recognised laboratory.
Consignments are to be treated with Captan or Thiram fungicide at recommended manufacturers requirements

The exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the treatment and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.
