All importers must be registered companies in Singapore.
Importers of processed food and food appliances are required to register with AVA for importation of Processed Food Products & Food Appliances (excluding meat and fish products, fresh fruits & vegetables). An import permit (Cargo Clearance Permit) will have to be declared for every import consignment.
Import and sale of processed food & food appliances are governed by the Sale of Food Act and the Food Regulations. The Sale of Food Act and Food Regulations are available at AVA website: http://www.ava.gov.sg/Legislation/ListOfLegislation/
