Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.


Where applicable, the exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the endorsement and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.


It is the exporter’s responsibility to ensure that the phytosanitary certificate is issued within 14 days of the consignment being exported from Australia.

Refer to the departure date and inspection date in the Request for Permit.

 
Explanation of the endorsements

Endorsement 2276: 
  • A laboratory analysis certificate must be provided as evidence of freedom from plant parasitic nematodes.
  • This endorsement is not required if the consignment undergoes one of the treatment schedules detailed below.
Consignments must undergo one of the following treatments unless endorsement 2276 is used:

  • Dry heat treatment at 121 degrees Celsius for 2 hours and the potting mix is spread in layers not more than 13mm;

OR

  • Steam treatment at 121 degrees Celsius for 30 minutes and the potting mix is spread not more than 50mm;

OR

  • Treatment with methyl bromide at 240gm per cubic meter for 24 hours and the potting mix is spread in layers not more than 30cm.

The exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the treatment and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

Consignments exported under endorsement 2276 can be exported with no treatment.
Option 1 (EXDOC Endorsement 2276)
1) A representative sample was found free through laboratory testing of plant parasitic nematodes.
