Plants may be exported as either bare rooted or with associated growing media.
Growing media includes: Soil (Top Soil or Mixed Soil); Peat Moss; Cocoa Moss; Sphagnum Moss and Bark.
All consignments will be subject to Post entry inspection, at premises pre-approved by AVA Singapore.
Explanation of the endorsements
Endorsement 3171:
Applies to plants exported in media which were treated for freedom of PPN.
Applies to plants exported in media which were laboratory tested for freedom of PPN.
Note: Nil additional declaration required when exported without growing medium (bare rooted).
- Dry heat treatment at 121 degrees Celsius for 2 hours prior to planting (medium to be spread in layers not more than 30cm);
- Methyl bromide fumigation at a rate of 80 grm/m3 for 48 hours prior to planting (medium to be spread in layers not more than 13mm);
- Steam sterilization at 121 degrees Celsius for 30 minutes prior to planting (medium to be spread in layers not more than 50mm);
1) The media in which the plants were grown has been treated for plant parasitic nematodes (PPN).
