Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.

The delinted seeds are to be dressed with Thiram (TMTD) at 0.4% a.i or other equivalent treatment approved by the NPPO.

The exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the treatment and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.


Treatment may be exempted from being undertaken and endorsed on the phytosanitary certificates with the production of exemption from the NPPO.
