Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.


A copy of the import permit must be presented to an Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.


Where applicable, the exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the endorsement and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

All consignments will be subjected to quarantine inspection upon arrival.
Explanation of the endorsement
Endorsement 1416:

Consignments are to be fumigated with Methyl bromide at:

  • 32grm/m3 at 21 degrees Celsius for 24 hours;
OR
  • Under vacuum at 64grm/m3 at 21 degrees Celsius for 2 hours.
Endorsement 2614:
  • Treatment details are not to be endorsed on the Phytosanitary certificate in the treatment section

The exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the treatment and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

The cuttings are to be treated within 7 days prior to shipment and held in a manner to ensure that infestation / reinfestation does not occur following certification.
Option 1 (EXDOC Endorsement 2612)
1) Canker apple (Botryosphaeria rivis), Cottony cushion scale (Icerya purchase) and Long tailed mealybug (Pseudococcus longispinus) are known not to occur in the area of production.

Option 2 (EXDOC Endorsement 2613)
1) The cuttings were sourced from an area where Canker apple (Botryosphaeria rivis), Cottony cushion scale (Icerya purchase) and Long tailed mealybug (Pseudococcus longispinus) are well controlled.

Option 3 (EXDOC Endorsement 2614)
1) The cuttings have been treated by dipping in a pyrethroid solution and insecticidal soap effective against Canker apple (Botryosphaeria rivis), Cottony cushion scale (Icerya purchase) and Long tailed mealybug (Pseudococcus longispinus).

Option 4 (EXDOC Endorsement 1416)
1) Fumigated with methyl bromide.
