Where applicable, the exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the endorsement and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.
 
The origin of the citrus fruit must be clearly identified on the Phytosanitary certificate and the packages.
 
Explanation of the endorsements

Endorsement 2535:

Applies to fruit sourced from the Riverland (South Australia) area, which is free of fruit flies of economic importance and Citrus black spot (Guignardia citricarpa).

Point 11 a) The fruits originate in a region known to be free from the organisms concerned. The fruit flies: Anastrepha fraterculus, Anastrepha grandis, Anastrepha ludens, Anastrepha obliqua, Anastrepha serpentina, Anastrepha striata, Anastrepha suspensa, Bactrocera carambolae, Bactrocera caryeae, Bactrocera correcta, Bactrocera dorsalis, Bactrocera dorsalis species complex, Bactrocera facialis, Bactrocera invadens, Bactrocera kandiensis, Bactrocera kirki, Bactrocera latifrons, Bactrocera minax, Bactrocera occipitalis, Bactrocera papayae, Bactrocera passiflorae, Bactrocera philippinensis, Bactrocera pyrifoliae, Bactrocera tau, Bactrocera trivialis, Bactrocera tsuneonis, Bactrocera xanthodes, Ceratitis cosyra, Ceratitis quinaria, Ceratitis malagassa, Dacus bivittatus, Dacus triseriatus, Didacus frontalis, Drosophila suzukii, Myiopardalis pardalina, Phaeoramularia angolensis, Rhagoletis cingulata, Rhagoletis completa, Rhagoletis fausta, Rhagoletis indifferens, Rhagoletis pomonella, Rhagoletis suavis, Toxotrypana curvicauda and Zonosemata electa are not known to occur in Australia,
and

Bactrocera aquilonis, Bactrocera cucumis, Bactrocera frauenfeldi, Bactrocera jarvisi, Bactrocera neohumeralis and Bactrocera tryoni are known not to occur in the Riverland region of South Australia.

Point 23 - The fruits are free of peduncle and leaves and the packaging bears a mark of the place of origin.
Point 24 - The fruits originate in a country known to be free from Phaeoramularia angolensis.  Phaeoramularia angolensis is not known to occur in Australia.
Point 25 b) - The fruits originate in a region known to be free of Phyllospicta citricarpa (synonym Guignardia citricara). The fruits originate from the Riverland (South Australia) region which is recognised as free from Citrus black spot (Guignardia citricarpa). 

Endorsement No 2536:

Applies to fruit sourced from the Sunraysia region, which is free of Citrus black spot (Guignardia citricarpa) and fruit has been inspected and found free of fruit flies and fruit is subject to on-shore cold treatment. 

Point 11 b) The fruit has been submitted before shipment to a sanitising treatment against the organisms concerned (Tephritidae fruit flies). The fruit has been subject to on-shore cold treatment.
Point 23 - The fruits are free of peduncle and leaves and the packaging bears a mark of the place of origin.
Point 24 - the fruits originate in a country known to be free from Phaeoramularia angolensis.  Phaeoramularia angolensis is not known to occur in Australia.

Point 11 b) The fruit has been submitted before shipment to a sanitising treatment against the organisms concerned (Tephritidae fruit flies). The fruit has been subject to on-shore cold treatment.

Consignments grown / sourced from areas known not to be free from fruit fly are to be inspected at appropriate times prior to export and found free from pests and undergo in-transit cold treatment at one of the following rates:
 
  • 0.5 degrees Celsius or less for a minimum of 10 days;

OR

  • 1.5 degrees Celsius or less for a minimum of 15 days;

OR

  • 2 degrees Celsius or less for a minimum of 20 days.

 
For in-transit cold treatment, printouts or direct electronic downloads of all temperature sensors are to be made available to the NPPO at the port of arrival in Reunion for final clearance of the consignment.
 
Treatment details for treatment occurring in-transit will not be endorsed on the Phytosanitary certificate.
 
The exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the treatment and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.
