Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.

Consignments are to be packed in clean, new packages/bags not previously used for any purpose.

Where applicable, the exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the endorsement and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.
Export pathways to Reunion are:

• Product sourced from a fruit fly pest free area (PFA), followed by refrigeration during transit;

OR

• Product sourced from outside a fruit fly PFA undergoing onshore cold treatment, followed by refrigeration during transit;

OR

• Product sourced from outside a fruit fly PFA undergoing in-transit cold treatment.

Explanation of fruit fly pest free areas (PFAs)

 The following areas are recognised as pest free areas for Queensland fruit fly (Bactrocera tryoni) and Mediterranean fruit fly (Ceratitis capitata):

• Tasmania

AND

• The Riverland region of South Australia, excluding Queensland fruit fly suspension areas. Suspension areas can be found on the South Australian Department of Primary Industries and Regions fruit fly outbreak map.

Exporters sourcing fruit from the Riverland must present a State government certificate at the time of inspection which states all fruit was sourced from properties outside the suspension areas.

All consignments using solid wood packing material must comply with ISPM-15.

Fruit sourced from PFA areas and exported via in transit cold refrigeration.

Endorsement 7507

Fruit sourced from outside of PFA areas and cold treated either onshore or in transit.
