Evidence of propagation in sterile facilities be presented to the Authorised Officer at time of inspection.
The EU Directive 2000-29 requirements for the certification of plants in respect to having been inspected at appropriate times are:
An official examination carried out in accordance with the following provisions:
a) They shall extend to the relevant plants or plant products grown, produced or used by the producer or otherwise present on his/her premises as well as to the growing medium used there;
b) They shall be made on the premises, preferably at the place of production;
c) They shall be made regularly at appropriate times at least once a year, and at least by visual observation, without prejudice to the special requirements listed in Annex IV of the EU Council Directive 2000/29/EC.
Appropriate times shall be that when the pests or diseases of concern are most prevalent or most active.
Official examination may be undertaken by a person who has suitable qualifications to perform the inspection and make an official declaration. eg: State Department of Agriculture employee; Department of Primary Industry employee; Crop monitor; Company employed entomologist or agronomist.

Without prejudice to the requirements applicable to the plants in Annex IV, Part A, Section I(27.1), (27.2), (28), (29), (31), (32.1) and (32.3), official statement that the plants in this consignment have been grown in nurseries and meet the requirements below.
Exporter to provide evidence attesting to the treatment and to present to the Authorised Officer at time of inspection.
Details of treatment to be endorsed on the Phytosanitary certificate in the treatment section.
Option 1 (EXDOC Endorsement No 5920)
1. Consignment complies with Annex I.A.I, point b (1) Pierce's disease of grape vines (Xyllela fastidiosa) are not known to occur in Australia.
2. Consignment complies with Annex IV.A.I, point 24 (a) the plants are free from aphids, including their eggs.
3. Consignment complies with Annex IV.A.I, point 24 (b)(aa) the plants have been officially certified under a certification scheme requiring them to be derived in direct line from material which has been maintained under appropriate conditions
and subjected to official testing for at least the relevantharmful organisms using appropriate indicators or equivalent methods and has been found free, in these tests, from those harmful organism.
4. Consignment complies with Annex IV.A.I, point 36.1(a) - area free from Melon thrip (Thrips palmi).
5. Consignment complies with Annex IV.A.I, point 46(b)(a) - area free from Tobacco whitefly (Bemisia tabaci) and other vectors of the relevant harmful organisms.
Option 2 (EXDOC Endorsement No 5921)
1. Consignment complies with Annex I.A.I, point b (1) Pierce's disease of grape vines (Xyllela fastidiosa) are not known to occur in Australia.
2. Consignment complies with Annex IV.A.I, point 24 (a) the plants are free from aphids, including their eggs.
3. Consignment complies with Annex IV.A.I, point 24 (b)(aa) the plants have been officially certified under a certification scheme requiring them to be derived in direct line from material which has been maintained under appropriate conditions
and subjected to official testing for at least the relevantharmful organisms using appropriate indicators or equivalent methods and has been found free, in these tests, from those harmful organism.
4. Consignment complies with Annex IV.A.I, point 36.1(b) - place of production free from Melon thrip (Thrips palmi) by official inspection carried out at least monthly during the three months prior to export.
5. Consignment complies with Annex IV.A.I, point 46(b)(a) - area free from Tobacco whitefly (Bemisia tabaci) and other vectors of the relevant harmful organisms.
Option 3 (EXDOC Endorsement No 5922)
