Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.


A copy of the import permit must be presented to an Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.


Exporters must confirm with the Philippines Department of Agriculture if an import permit (SPS Import Clearance) is required for the consignment. If required, copy of the import permit must be presented to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

A phytosanitary certificate is still required if an import permit is not issued.
If required by the import permit, the consignment must be treated with an appropriate fungicide and insecticide at approved label rates,

OR

With an appropriate fumigant at approved label rates;

If no treatment is required by the import permit, no treatment details are to be endorsed on the phytosanitary certificate.

The exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the treatment and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.
