Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.


An import permit may or may not be issued, depending on the level of processing undergone by the consignment.
A copy of the import permit must be presented to an Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.
 
If an exemption from an import permit requirement is provided, documentation from the Philippines NPPO stating that the product is subject to an exemption must be provided to an Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.
