Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.

A copy of the import permit must be presented to an Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

Exporter must provide appropriate evidence attesting that the banana plantlets/tissue cultures are obtained from from parental stock free from Fusarium oxysporum, Pseudomonas syringae pv. syringae.

Tissue cultures should be properly packed, labelled and sealed in unbreakable containers during shipment.

Consignments must be labelled with the correct botanical name (genus species).

Consignment may be subject to meet post-entry quarantine requirements
The import permit (SPS Import Clearance) number must be stated on the Phytosanitary certificate.
