Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.


Exporters must confirm with the Philippines Department of Agriculture if an import permit (SPS Import Clearance) is required for the consignment. If required, copy of the import permit must be presented to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

A phytosanitary certificate is still required if an import permit is not issued.

Philippines has been issuing import permit with varying treatment requirements. When specified on the import permit, consignment must be fumigated with appropriate fumigant at Australian approved label rates.

The exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the treatment and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.
