Whenthe import permit specifies non-phytosanitary quality requirements, including a requirement for the consignment to be dried to a certain moisture content, it is the exporter’s responsibility to ensurethat the consignment meets such requirements. As this is not a phytosanitarymatter, no supporting evidence is required for thepurposes of export authorisation.
If required by the import permit, consignment is to be fumigated with methyl bromide at the following rate:
- 32g/m3 for 24 hours at 21 degrees Celsius or above
If no treatment requirement is indicated on the import permit, no treatment details to be endorsed on the phytosanitary certificate.
