Exporters must confirm with the PhilippinesDepartment of Agriculture if an import permit (SPS Import Clearance) isrequired for the consignment. If required, copy of the import permit must bepresented to the Department of Agriculture and Water Resources AuthorisedOfficer at the time of making the appointment.

A phytosanitary certificate is stillrequired if an import permit is not issued.

If required by the import permit, the consignment must be treated with an appropriate fumigant at approved label rates.

The exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the treatment and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

If no treatment is required by the import permit, no treatment details are to be endorsed on the phytosanitary certificate.
