Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.



A copy of the import permit must be presented to an Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.


Explanation of the endorsements:

  • A crop inspection certificate or a laboratory analysis certificate is required to endorse freedom from Bacterial gall (Rhizobium rhizogenes), Crown gall (Rhizobium radiobacter) and Tomato foot rot (Phytophthora cryptogea)
  • There is no substantive evidence to state that Clover proliferation phytoplasma ('Candidatus Phytoplasma trifolii') is either present in Australia or can be seed-transmitted. No evidence is required to endorse freedom from this pest. 
Consignment must be treated with an appropriate fungicide and insecticide at manufacturers' recommended rates.

The exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the treatment and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

Option 1 (EXDOC Endorsement 6988)
1) Clover proliferation phytoplasma ('Candidatus Phytoplasma trifolii') is not known to occur in Australia,
2) Consignment has been sourced from a pest free place of production free from Bacterial gall (Rhizobium rhizogenes), Crown gall (Rhizobium radiobacter) and Tomato foot rot (Phytophthora cryptogea).

Option 2 (EXDOC Endorsement 7168)
1) Clover proliferation phytoplasma ('Candidatus Phytoplasma trifolii') is not known to occur in Australia,
2) Consignment has been tested and found free from Bacterial gall (Rhizobium rhizogenes), Crown gall (Rhizobium radiobacter) and Tomato foot rot (Phytophthora cryptogea).
