Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.


Original and certified translation of the import permit must be presented to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.
Consignments are to be treated with:

  • Captan at 2.4 grm/kgm of seed;

OR

  • An equivalent fungicide at recommended manufacturers requirements.


The exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the treatment and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

Note:
  • The import requirements reference benomyl fungicide treatment, however there are no products containing benomyl which are registered by the Australian Pesticide and Veterinary Medicines Authority for use in Australia.

1) A representative sample was inspected and found free of Rice moth (Corcyra cephalonica), Stinking chamomile (Anthemis cotula), Panic (Panicum coloratum) and Peppercress (Lepidum bonariense).
