Consignmentsare to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material, includingmildews, rusts and other foliar diseases.

A copy of the import permit must be presented to an Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.
Consignmentsare to be treated either by:

  • Immersing in a solution of an approved insecticide and fungicide for 5 minutes at recommended manufacturers requirements;

OR

  • Fumigated with methyl bromide at 32 grm/m3 at 21 degrees Celsius for 3 hours.


The exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the treatment and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.
