Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.


A copy of the import permit must be presented to an Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.


If required by the import permit, the following certification must accompany the consignment:

  • Ships Hold Certificate (EXDOC template GL12) - for bulk goods loaded into a ships hold;

OR

  • Container Inspection Certificate (EXDOC template GL2) - for bulk containerised goods;

OR

  • Sack and Container Inspection Certificate (EXDOC template GL3) - for bagged containerised goods

If stated on the import permit, a laboratory test report on heavy metal contamination/pesticide residue must accompany the consignment.
