Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.


A copy of the import permit must be presented to an Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.
Consignments are to be treated prior to export by:

  • Fumigated with Methyl bromide at 56 grm/m3 for 2 hour at 16 degrees Celsius (or above, with minimum concentration of 28 grm/m3;

OR

  • Heat treated at 56 degrees Celsius at a minimum of 30 minutes (constant temperature);

OR

  • Kiln dried by standard kiln drying procedures to a maximum moisture content of 14%.
