Consignments are tobe free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material, including pods,moulds, cereal refuse.
Consignments are to be free from insects at any stage of development(including eggs), especially cattle tick (Boophilus microplus) and Trogodermaspecies.
Empty ship holds or containers must be sanitised with a synthetic phyrethroid insecticide prior to loading.
Consignments must be accompanied with a treatment certificate and container cleanliness certificate.
If requested by the exporter, the following certification may be issued to certify container cleanliness prior to loading:

Consignments must be fumigated with Methyl bromide at 42grm/m3 for 12 hours at 21 degrees Celsius or above.
