Explanation of the endorsements
Endorsement 4911:
- Only to be endorsed on the phytosanitary certificate when the import permit specifically states this requirement. If the import permit does not state any endorsement requirements, phytosanitary certificates are to be issued with nil additional declaration.
- Seed must be sourced from crops that were inspected during the growing season and found to the free from evidence of quarantine pests and diseases. A crop inspection report must be provided as supporting evidence.
- Visual inspection by an Authorised Officer is sufficient to endorse freedom from Trogoderma spp.

If stated by the import permit, consignments are to be treated with:
Methyl bromide at 48grm/m3 for 2.5 hours at 21 degrees Celsius and above;
OR
Phosphine at 5grm/m3 for seven days at temperature above 25 degrees Celsius;
OR
Phosphine at 5grm/m3 for ten days at temperatures between 15 – 25 degrees Celsius;
AND
Treated by immersion in fungicide, dried and dusted to excess with a fungicide, Metalaxyl or equivalent, at recommended manufacturer's requirements.
Option 1 (EXDOC Endorsement 4911)
1) Seed has been sourced from crops that were inspected during the growing season and found to the free from evidence of quarantine pests and diseases,
2) A representative sample was inspected and found free of Trogoderma spp.
