Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material; including plant debris and insect parts.

A copy of the import permit must be presented to an Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.


Consignment must be treated and packed by a reputable company with a manufacturer's declaration.

ICR applies to Seed raising mix, including spaghnum, peat moss, vermiculite and perlite.

Treatment is not required if:
  • The consignment is being re-exported and the exporter provides a manufacturer’s declaration.
  • The country of origin is endorsed in the additional product description.

The exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the treatment and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.
