Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material; including moulds, paddy rice, husks and cereal refuse.

A copy of the import permit must be presented to an Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.


ICR applies to milled rice, polished white or brown rice only.

Tolerance level of impurities as per Import Permit.

Consignments are to beaccompanied by treatment certification when applied.
If required by the import permit, consignments are to be fumigated as per requirements stated on permit.

If the import permit refers to PQC63, no treatment is required.

The exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the treatment and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

1) Khapra beetle (Trogoderma granarium), Carpet beetle (Trogoderma glabrum) and Skin beetle (Trogoderma inclusum) are not known to occur in Australia.
