Tolerances and cereal refuse are based on levels specified in the standards defined by the grain receival authorities or NACMA.

The grain must be inspected, by the grain handler, at intake and be found to be in compliance with the grain receival authorities or NACMA standards, prior to the exporter presenting the grain to the Department of Agriculture Authorised Officer for phytosnitary inspection.

For Consumption or Processing, the following certification must accompany the Phytosanitary certificate:

• Ships Hold Certificate (EXDOC template GL12) - for bulk grain exports loaded into a ships hold;
  

OR

• Container Inspection Certificate (EXDOC template GL2) - for bulk containerised grain exports;
  

OR

• Sack and Container Inspection Certificate (EXDOC template GL3) - for bagged containerised grain exports
  

If stated on the import permit, a laboratory test report on heavy metal contamination/pesticide residue must accompany the consignment.
