Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.


A copy of the import permit must be presented to an Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.


Mushroom spawn must be obtained from a reputable active farm.

Must be pure cultured and grown in sterilsed medium in clear vial/bottles/petri-dishes to facilitate effective inspection.

Exporters are to provide evidence (such as hightemperature treatment – autoclave) attesting to the above requirements to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.
