Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.


Consignments are to be packed in clean, new packages/bags not previously used for any purpose.


Each type of plant in the consignment must be clearly identified with the correct botanical name (genus and species).

Plants must be ex-tissue cultured material and sourced from a facility in Australia accredited by Quality Banana Approved Nursery (QBAN).

Consignments are to be used for research purposes only.

A copy of the import permit must be presented to an Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.


Where applicable, the exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the endorsement and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.


Tissue culture plantlets must be contained in sterile and sealed clear containers.

Culture media used must be clear, solid, and sterile.

Growth of roots or callus must be visible through the culture media.

  1. The plantlets in this consignment has been laboratory tested and found to be free of Fusarium wilt (Fusarium oxysporum f.sp. cubense  - Foc TR4) and other viral pathogens.
