Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.


A copy of the import permit must be presented to an Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.


If stated by the import permit, product must be loaded into vacuumed and steam cleaned containers surface sprayed with permenthrin at a 2.5% w/v concentration.

Exporters are to provide a combination of a treatment certificate and a container cleanliness certificate issued by the treatment provider/supplier of the container, or an exporter declaration, stating that the container has been vacuumed and steam cleaned, and surface sprayed with permenthrin at a 2.5% w/v concentration.

If requested by the exporter, the following certification may be issued to certify container cleanliness prior to loading:
  • Container Inspection Certificate (EXDOC template GL2) - for bulk containerised grain exports;
OR
  • Sack and Container Inspection Certificate (EXDOC template GL3) - for bagged containerised grain exports.

If stated by permit, consignments must be accompanied by manufacturer's declaration outlining product processes. Exporters should refer to permit for declaration requirements.
