Consignments are to be free from pests,soil, weed seeds and extraneous material, including pods, moulds, cereal refuseand insects at any stage of development (including eggs), especially cattletick (Boophilus microplus) and Trogoderma species.
Ship’s holds or containers must besanitised with a synthetic pyrethroid insecticide prior to loading. Treatmentcertificate must be affixed to the consignment.
- Phosphine at 2grm/m3 for seven (7) days at temperatures above 25 degrees Celsius;
OR
- Phosphine at 2grm/m3 for ten (10) days at temperatures between 15 - 25 degrees Celsius.
1) Khapra beetle (Trogoderma granarium) is known not to occur in Australia,
2) A representative sample was inspected and found free of Hide beetles(Trogoderma spp) and Cattle tick (Boophilus microplus).
