Explanation of the endorsements
Endorsement 998:
Is only to be endorsed on Phytosanitary certificates where the import permit specifically states this requirement. Import permits sighted in which there is no specific pest or diseases are to be issued with Nil Additional Declaration.
Endorsement 7567:
- Khapra beetle (Trogoderma granarium) is known not to occur in Australia, no supporting evidence is required to endorse freedom from this pest
- Visual inspection by an authorised officer is required to endorse freedom from Cattle tick (Rhipicephalus microplus)
- The consignment must be treated (dusted to excess) with a fungicide and / or insecticide.
AND
- The consignment must undergo fumigation with methyl bromide at NAP, 48grm/m3 for 2.5 hours at 21 degrees Celsius and above;
OR
- Fumigated with Phosphine at 5grm/m3 for seven (7) days at temperatures above 25 degrees Celsius or ten (10) days at temperatures between 15 - 25 degrees Celsius.
If required by the import permit, fumigation treatment must occur after loading.
