Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds, extraneous material and evidence of disease.

Consignments are to be free from insects at any stage of development (including eggs).

A copy of the import permit must be presented to an Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.


Consignments are to be packed in clean, new packages/bags not previously used for any purpose.


Consignment must be accompanied by manufacturer's declaration.
Containers must be fumigated with methyl bromide at 42 grm/m3 for 48 hours at 21 degree Celsius or above prior to loading with packaged goods;

OR

Bulk shipment in vessels must have the hold fumigated with methyl bromide at 42 grm/m3 for 48 hours at 21 degree Celsius or above prior to loading with packaged goods.

Container or vessel hold fumigation certificates are to be affixed to each consignment.

Refer to import permit to determine if treatment of the consignment is required.

The exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the treatment and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.
