Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material; including whole seed and cereal grains

A copy of the import permit must be presented to an Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.


Must be packed in new, clean bags or cleaned containers.

Exporters must obtain a declaration that the meal is for animal consumption and free of animal diseases from the relevant Department of Agriculture program. Only government veterinarians can attest to these requirements, Plant Exports will not issue (sign) certification attesting to these requirements.
Containerised bulk loaded exports, containers must be thoroughly cleaned through vacuum cleaning or container wash facilities using high water pressure and be free of any soil and debris of any kind.

Container must be sanitised with synthetic pyrethroid insecticide prior to loading.

The exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the treatment and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.
