1) Sereh disease, Grassy shoot phytoplasma and Gummosis (Xanthomonas vasculorum) are not known to occur in Australia,
2) The parent plants were inspected during the growing season and found free from Pineapple disease (Ceratocystis paradoxa), Ratoon stunting disease (Leifsonia xyli subsp. xyli), Sugarcane mosaic virus and Sugarcane Fiji disease virus.
