Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.


Exporters must confirm with the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries Wealth & Water Resources (MAFWR) if an import permit is required for the consignment.

If an import permit is required, an original and official translation of the import permit must be presented to the Authorised Officer at the time of making an appointment for inspection.

A phytosanitary certificate is still required if an import permit is not issued.

Exporters are to ensure that consignments are exported within 7 days of inspection date.
