Measures for Ralstonia pseudosolanacearum
NZ MPI has added new measures for management of Ralstonia pseudosolanacearum. These are;
- Inspection, Testing and Treatment for Zingiber officinale at PEQ level 2 quarantine facility on arrival.
- The measures in place are PCR testing, wastewater treatment and growing season inspection in Level 2 post-entry quarantine.

Note: The tissue cultures are subject to PEQ for a minimum of 3 months on arrival in NZ.
1) The cultures have been derived from parent stock tested and found free of virus diseases.
