Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.

A copy of the import permit must be presented to an Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

Each type of plant in the consignment must be clearly identified withits scientific name (genus and species).

Where applicable, the exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the endorsement and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

All plants in the consignment are to be officially inspected and to be foundfree of any visually detectable regulated pests.


If visually detectable pests are found which are not listed in the NewZealand Ministry for Primary Industries Standard 155.02.06, the pest’sregulatory status must be established prior to certification. This informationis available in MPI’s “Biosecurity Organisms Register for ImportedCommodities" on the MPI website.

Exporters have the choice ofcertifying to the media requirements as per endorsement 1917.

plants whichhave been raised in media containing soil must have the roots of the plantsdipped in Fenamiphos at 1.6g a.i. per litre of water for 30 minutes.


All plants must be treated for insects and mites as Section 2.2.1.6 (b) of theNew Zealand Ministry for Primary Industries Standard 155.02.06: Importation ofNursery Stock (published on the MPI website).


The exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the treatment and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.


Details of treatment to be endorsed on the phytosanitary certificate in the treatment section.


Option 1 (EXDOC Endorsement 1917)
1) The plants were raised from seed/cuttings in soil-less rooting media incontainers maintained out of contact with the soil.


Option 2 (EXDOC Endorsement 1955)

1) The roots of the plants have been dipped in fenamiphos at 1.6g a.i.per litre of water for 30 minutes.
