Regulated Pests (actionable) for tulipa species is published in the Ministry for Primary Industries Standard 155.02.6: Importation of Nursery Stock (published on the Ministry for Primary Industries web site).

A copy of the import permit must be presented to an Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.


Where applicable, the exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the endorsement and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.
All bulbs must be treated for regulated insects and mites as per Section 2.2.1.7 of the Ministry for Primary Industries Standard 155.02.6: Importation of Nursery Stock (published on the Ministry for Primary Industries web site), within 7 days prior to freezing, cold storage or shipment

The exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the treatment and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

1) The dormant bulbs in the consignment have been inspected in accordance with appropriate official procedures and found to be free of any visually detectable regulated pests including Vasicular wilt of tulip (Fusarium oxysporium f.sp tulipae),
2) The bulbs are sourced from a pest free production site free from regulated nematodes and fungi,
3) The bulbs are sourced from a pest free production site free from regulated bacteria and viruses.
