Endorsement 6412:
- An area freedom certificate issued by the state/territory government or a place of production freedom declaration from the state/territory government, grower or a third party crop monitor must be presented as evidence to endorse area or place of production freedom from Potato spindle tuber viroid.
- A laboratory analysis certificate must be presented as evidence that a representative sample of the seeds has been tested and found free from Potato spindle tuber viroid.
- For seed lots with less than 15,000 seeds, a composite sample of a minimum of 3,000 seeds must be officially drawn across all seed lots of the same seed species in a consignment, which must have been prodcued at the same place of prodcut or production site. Further sampling information can be found in the Seeds for Sowing IHS.
- For seed lots with 15,000 or more seeds, a representative sample of a minimum of 3,000 seeds, officially drawn according to ISTA or AOSA methodology, is required from each seed lot.
- Can only be used for consignments with less than 15,000 seeds.
- A crop inspection certificate is required to endorse freedom from Potato spindle tuber viroid.
- The phytosanitary certificate from the country of origin must endorse freedom from Potato spindle tuber viroid.
- Another endorsement must be used if no phytosanitary certificate meeting the above requirements is available.
- "Origin of <country>" must be stated in the additional product description. Contact EXDOC Plant Programs (EXDOCPlantPrograms@agriculture.gov.au) to have the field enabled.
- The original phytosanitary certificate from the country of origin, or a certified copy of the phytosanitary certificate from the country of origin, indicating freedom from Potato spindle tuber viroid, must be presented to the Authorised Officer at time of inspection.
1) The consignment has been sourced from a pest free area or a pest free place of production free from Potato spindle tuber viroid.
Option 2 (EXDOC Endorsement 3050)
1) A representative sample was officially tested using appropriate methods and found free from Potato spindle tuber viroid.
