A copy of the import permit must be presented to an Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.
Each type of cutting in the consignment must be clearly identified with its the scientific name (genus and species).
Plants must be bare rooted.
Where applicable, the exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the endorsement and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.
All cuttings in the consignment are to be officially inspected and to be found free of any visually detectable regulated pests.
If visually detectable pests are found which are not listed in the Biosecurity New Zealand import health standard, the pests regulatory status must be established prior to certification.

If any required treatment is not completed within the prescribed period prior to export, these measures must be completed in New Zealand where such services are available, and by prior arrangement with MPI.
Option 1 (EXDOC Endorsement No 883)
1) The plants were raised from seed/cuttings in soil-less rooting media in containers maintained out of contact with the soil.
2) Rust diseases of the genus Coleosporium and Cronatium are not known to occur on Salvia plants in Australia.
3) The plants have only been grown in, and exported from, the country of origin, Australia, which is free from Xylella fastidiosa.
4) The Salvia plants were grown at a production site where there is monitoring and control against vectors of Candidatus phytoplasma solani.
5) The Salvia plants were inspected at the production site during the growing season and found to be free from Candidatus phytoplasma solani.
6) The Salvia plants in this consignment were produced in a pest free area for Phytophthora palmivora.
Option 2 (EXDOC Endorsement No 903)
1) The roots of the plants have been dipped in Fenamiphos at 1.6g a.i. per litre of water for 30 minutes
