If visually detectable pests are found which are not listed in the Biosecurity New Zealand import health standard, the pests regulatory status must be established prior to certification.

Plants must be bare rooted.
Each type of plant in the consignment must be clearly identified with its scientific name (genus and species).
Phellinus noxius is known to be present in New South Wales and Queensland. All other states and territories are "Pest free areas" for Phellinus noxius.
For plants exported in soilless media – used endorsements 3326, 8128, 8130, 8132.
For plants exported bare rooted – used endorsements 3327, 8129, 8131, 8133.
All plants must be treated for insects and mites as Section 2.2.1.6 (b) of the Ministry of Primary Industries Standard 155.02.06: Importation of Nursery Stock (published on the MPI web site).
If any required treatment is not completed within the prescribed period prior to export, these measures must be completed in New Zealand where such services are available, and by prior arrangement with MPI.
Option 1 (EXDOC Endorsement 3326)
1) The plants have only been grown in, and exported from, the country of origin, Australia, which is free from Xylella fastidiosa.
2) Blackberry chlorotic ringspot virus, Raspberry ringspot virus and Rose rosette virus are not known to occur in Australia.
3) The plants have been dipped in propiconazole at the rate of 5g a.i. per 10 litres of water.
4) The plants were raised from seed/cuttings in soil-less rooting media in containers maintained out of contact with the soil.
5) The plants have been sourced from a pest free area free from sudden oak death (Phytophthora ramorum).
6) The Rosa plants were sourced from a pest free area free from Ralstonia pseudosolanacearum.
7) The Rosa plants in this consignment were produced in a pest free area for Grapevine Pinot gris virus.
8) The Rosa plants were grown at a production site where there is monitoring and control against vectors of Candidatus Phytoplasma australasiaticum, Candidatus Phytoplasma mali, Phytoplasma 16SrI - aster yellows and Phytoplasma 16SrXII - “stolbur".
