Each type of plant in the consignment must be clearly identified with its scientific name (genus and species).Plants must be bare rooted.
All plants in the consignment are to be officially inspected and to be found free of any visually detectable regulated pests.
If visually detectable pests are found which are not listed in the Ministry of Primary Industries import health standard, the pests regulatory status must be established prior to certification.

New Zealand Ministry for Primary Industries recognises Australia as free from Phytophthora ramorum. For both EXDOC endorsement options, evidence of freedom from Phytophthora ramorum is not required to be presented by the exporter.
Explanation of endorsements
Endorsement 6871:
- Applies to plants raised in soil -less media.
Endorsement 6872:
- Applies to plants raised in media containing soil.
All plants/cuttings must be treated for insects and mites as Section 2.2.1.6 part B of the Ministry of Primary Industries Standard 155.02.06: Importation of Nursery Stock (published on the MPI web site).

Option 1 (EXDOC Endorsement 6871)
1) The plants were raised from seed/cuttings in soil-less rooting media in containers maintained out of contact with the soil.
2) The plants have been sourced from a "Pest free area", free from Phytophthora ramorum.
3) The plants have only been grown in, and exported from, the country of origin, Australia, which is free from Xylella fastidiosa.

1) The roots of the plants have been dipped in Fenamiphos at 1.6g a.i. per litre of water for 30 minutes.
2) The plants have been sourced from a "Pest free area", free from Phytophthora ramorum.
3) The plants have only been grown in, and exported from, the country of origin, Australia, which is free from Xylella fastidiosa.
