All plants in the consignment are to be officially inspected and to be found free of any visually detectable regulated pests.
Each type of plant in the consignment must be clearly identified with its scientific name (genus and species).
Only inert/synthetic material may be used for the protection, packaging and shipping materials of the nursery stock.
All plants and cuttings must be treated for insects and mites as per Section 2.2.1.06 (b) of the New Zealand Ministry for Primary Industries Standard 155.02.06: Importation of Nursery Stock (published on the Ministry of Primary Industries website).
If any required treatment is not completed within the prescribed period prior to export, these measures must be completed in New Zealand where such services are available, and by prior arrangement with MPI.
