Each type of cutting in the consignment must be clearly identified with the scientific name (genus and species).
All cuttings in the consignment are to be officially inspected and to be found free of any visually detectable regulated pests.
If visually detectable pests are found which are not listed in the New Zealand Import Health Standard, the pests regulatory status must be established prior to certification. This information is available in MPI's "Biosecurity Organisms Register for Imported Commodities" on their web page.

All cuttings must be treated for insects and mites as Section 2.2.1.06 (b) of the New Zealand Standard 155.02.06: Importation of Nursery Stock (published on the Ministry of Primary Industries web site).
If any required treatment is not completed within the prescribed period prior to export, these measures must be completed in New Zealand where such services are available, and by prior arrangement with MPI.
Option 1 (EXDOC Endorsement 3145)
1) The cuttings in this consignment were sourced from a pest free area, free from Ralstonia pseudosolanacearum.
2) The cuttings have only been grown in, and exported from, the country of origin, Australia, which is free from Xylella fastidiosa.
3) The cuttings were grown at a production site where there is monitoring and control against vectors of Candidatus Phytoplasma australasiaticum and Aster yellows phytoplasma group (16SrI).
4) The cuttings were inspected at the production site during the growing season and found to be free from Candidatus Phytoplasma australasiaticum and Aster yellows phytoplasma group (16SrI).
Option 2 (EXDOC Endorsement 8034)
1) The cuttings in this consignment have been sourced from a pest free place of production, where parents plants were tested according to an NPPO approved methodology and found free from Ralstonia pseudosolanacearum.
