Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.

Where applicable, the exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the endorsement and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.


A copy of the import permit must be presented to an Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

  • The Seed Analysis Certificate must be issued by an Association of Official Seed Analysts (AOSA) or ISTA accredited seed testing station or an Australian laboratory capable of undertaking the analysis.

Endorsement 2151:

  • Consignments must meet the requirements listed in the section titled All endorsements.
  • An area freedom certificate is required as supporting evidence.

Endorsement 1410:

  • Consignments must meet the requirements listed in the section titled All endorsements.
  • The grain/seed must be representatively sampled with a sample size of five times (5×) ISTA or AOSA guidelines/methodologies for Cladosporium cladosporioides f. sp. pisicola testing.
  • The samples must be tested at a NPPO-approved diagnostic laboratory and the test result was negative for Cladosporium cladosporioides f. sp. pisicola.
  • A Sampling and Laboratory Analysis Certificate is required as supporting evidence for both the sampling methodology and test results.
  • The sample rate for Cladosporium cladosporioides f. sp. pisicola testing is different to the sample rate for seed analysis.
Additional Statement 6403:
  • If requested, Additional Statement 6403 may be included on the phytosanitary certificate to meet the Sampling Certificate requirement.
  • The exporter must present a Sampler's Certificate, Seed Analysis Certificate or Exporter's Declaration as evidence attesting to the sampling for analysis Additional Statement at the time of authorisation.

Option 1 (EXDOC Endorsement 2151)
 1) Cladosporium cladosporioides f. sp. pisicola is known not to occur in the area of production.

Option 2 (EXDOC Endorsement 1410)
1) The crop was inspected during active growth and found to be free from Cladosporium cladosporioides f. sp. pisicola.

Option 3 (EXDOC Endorsement 1412)
1) The seeds were representatively sampled with a sample size of five times (5x) ISTA or AOSA guidelines/methodologies. The samples were tested at a NPPO-approved diagnostic laboratory and the test result was negative for Cladosporium cladosporioides f. sp. pisicola.

Option 1 (Additional Statement 6403)
Declaration for seed sampling
1) A primary sample was officially drawn during the loading of the consignment, at a rate of at least one primary sample per 100 tonnes of grain.
2) All submitted samples were prepared and dispatched in accordance with ISTA rules.
