Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.


The import conditions apply to the following processed nut products:

  • All chopped nuts
  • Ground almonds (Prunus dulcis)
  • Dried and sliced betel nuts (Areca catechu)
  • Split candle nuts (Aleurites moluccana)
  • Desiccated (grated) coconuts (Cocos nucifera)
  • Dried pieces of coconuts (Cocos nucifera) without husk and outer shell
  • Split lotus nuts (Nelumbo nucifera)
  • Peanut butter
  • Blanched peanuts or groundnuts (Australian-origin only) 
  • halved pecans (Carya illinoensis)
